It is in the year 1978 Modern Industries laid the foundation of its humble beginning in the old City area with production capacity of hardly 200 springs per day by procuring raw material from the then M/S SPECIAL STEELS Ltd., which was the only reliable product available in the market.
In 1983, with a view to enhance the production capacity, the activity was shifted to better space in the market near Namastey chowk, Karnal, which was the boom period for the Industry and the promoters left no stone unturned to en cash the opportunity even by increasing installed capacity and running the unit during very late hours, increasing the regular production to 1000 springs per day.
During 1986, the promoter decided to add allied item “Press Forged Cultivator Tyne”. At this time the Hammer Forged Tines were not much prevalent in the market. Additional new item required much space, so the new unit was set up in the outskirts of city on NH-1 towards Delhi at more spacious workplace.
In 1990 another unit in the name of Modern Udyog for the manufacture of Tiller Springs from Wire Rod of M/S TATA or M/S Usha Martin and locally drawn was set up in HSIIDC Industrial Estate, keeping in view the market demand, which also raised the production capacity to another 1000 springs per day.
Thereafter during 1998 “Hammer Forged Cultivator Tines” were also added, which attracted good response in the market, but because of some local restrictions and location disadvantage, the working was restricted to only 8 hours.
In 2007, the Promoter was allotted Industrial Plot in the HSIIDC Estate measuring 4050 Sqm. which gave lot of relief to work freely and ultimately keeping in view the product market acceptability, just within one year after constructing the work shed, the promoter shifted all the activities to the new well planned production workshop equipped with Tool Room workshop.
